TYPE #1
NEW CONCRETE/NEW CONSTRUCTION
If its a new construction job, the concrete must cure for at least 28 days before any acid stain can be applied. If an existing concrete surface HAS NOT been covered with a finish, then we power wash and degrease so the concrete is virtually like new. Then we apply the stain and sealant.
TYPE #2
CONCRETE STAIN OVERLAY
If there is an existing floor that has to be pulled up like ceramic tile, or the concrete must be grinded down, then we must create another coating to cover the grout lines or grindingfinish. We use a micro finish and towel it onto the floor. When dry, we apply the acid stain and a polyurethane finish of your choice of gloss or matte.
TYPE #3
Repigment/Restorative
Sometimes the clear coat has deteriorated and the stain is exposed. The remaining clear coat must be removed by a chemical means and then re stained and re clear coated.
